Short FilmsThe short film is sadly underutilized as a mainstream narrative form. Only the music video has captured the public's attention and admiration. Why is that? I would think people would be happier watching a series of short films, rather than the multi-hour full-length features that grace the cinemascape. During the months of April through June 2004, I wrote and produced a short film entitled To whom it may concern. Stop-Motion AnimationsMost of these were completed either in my office at work or in the odd evening hours I sometimes create. The downside to stop-motion is the enormous amount of time it takes to finish a project. Find the works of Jan Svankmajer and rejoice in a true master of the form. |
